Shillingridge Stables has been part of our lives for nearly 30 years, we love it here and we hope you will too.
We have tried to think of everything to make your stay perfect. All you need bring is yourself, your clothes and perhaps a pair of wellies if it’s muddy.
Sleeping
When you stay at Shillingridge all you need to bring are your clothes and wellies. Each lodge is equipped with everything you will need. The beds are made up with luxury duvets, pillows, extra blankets and hot water bottles.
Bathing
All bath and hand towels are provided and all our soaps and shampoos are supplied by eco-friendly brands.
Dining
Cooking at Shillingridge could not be easier; each lodge has a wood-burning stove with an oven that you can cook on as well as a gas BBQ and gas four ring hob. The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils. We also make sure you have local fresh farm milk, tea bags, sugar, oil and coffee for the cafetiere when you arrive.
Outside your lodge you will find your own space with soft comfy sofas and a fire pit, where you can stop and relax and enjoy one of our homemade cakes. Your lodge is set in a small woodland with hammocks dotted around.
When you arrive you will find a folder with all the information you will need including maps of the local area. There will also be a basket of dried logs, kindling and firelighters. Further logs can be found under your lodge.
Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Marks and Spencer supermarkets are also only a couple of miles away. We can arrange breakfast and BBQ baskets filled with local meats, bread and our own eggs.
If you fancy a break from cooking then why not call the caterers in! Absolute Cuisine prepare beautiful meals from the finest ingredients without preservatives, colourings or artificial additives. Traditional home cooking at it’s best waiting for you in your lodge.
We can also arrange for a private chef to cook for you, you arrange the menu, they do all the preparation, cooking and even clear away and wash up when you’ve finished. Prices start at £45.00 per person for a three-course meal.
Venture out and you'll find plenty of great places to eat in the local area.
