Shillingridge Stables has been part of our lives for nearly 30 years, we love it here and we hope you will too.
We have tried to think of everything to make your stay perfect. All you need bring is yourself, your clothes and perhaps a pair of wellies if it’s muddy.
When you stay at Shillingridge all you need to bring are your clothes and wellies. Each lodge is equipped with everything you will need. The beds are made up with luxury duvets, pillows, extra blankets and hot water bottles.
All bath and hand towels are provided and all our soaps and shampoos are supplied by eco-friendly brands.
Cooking at Shillingridge could not be easier; each lodge has a wood-burning stove with an oven that you can cook on as well as a gas BBQ and gas four ring hob. The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils. We also make sure you have local fresh farm milk, tea bags, sugar, oil and coffee for the cafetiere when you arrive.
Outside your lodge you will find your own space with soft comfy sofas and a fire pit, where you can stop and relax and enjoy one of our homemade cakes. Your lodge is set in a small woodland with hammocks dotted around.
When you arrive you will find a folder with all the information you will need including maps of the local area. There will also be a basket of dried logs, kindling and firelighters. Further logs can be found under your lodge.
Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Marks and Spencer supermarkets are also only a couple of miles away. We can arrange breakfast and BBQ baskets filled with local meats, bread and our own eggs.
If you fancy a break from cooking then why not call the caterers in! Absolute Cuisine prepare beautiful meals from the finest ingredients without preservatives, colourings or artificial additives. Traditional home cooking at it’s best waiting for you in your lodge.
Venture out and you'll find plenty of great places to eat in the local area.
No dogs are allowed at Shillingridge. We have four dogs and three horses of our own as well as lots of chickens.
Horses are very welcome; there is a separate paddock for them right next to the lodges so you can be close to them, we do not offer stabling for guests horses.
Our aim is to meet the individual needs of all of our guests. The hilly nature of the property might make access difficult for guests with limited mobility. Please speak to us before you book.
We take a 30% deposit when you book your holiday, the balance is to be paid 30 days before your stay.
We would prefer payments by bank transfer but you can also pay by cheque. If you wish to pay by credit/debit card this can be done over the phone.
